Safeguarding

The OMS takes seriously its safeguarding responsibilities for children and vulnerable adults. We follow guidelines from the Advisory Council on the Relations of Bishops and Religious Communities in establishing our safeguarding policies.

If you are worried about a child or young person (under 18 years) and the information you have suggests that a child is at immediate risk of being harmed, you should tell the police without delay. If you are worried about a child but do not think that there is a risk of immediate harm, you should still speak to someone who can help as soon as possible. You should approach your local Children’s Services in your nation to do this.

If you are worried about the safety of a vulnerable adult, you should also speak to someone who can help as soon as possible, by approaching a locally relevant agency.

If you wish to discuss a safeguarding issue concerning a child or vulnerable adult in the context of the Order of the Mustard Seed, please contact our Designated Safeguarding Person through the form below.
